Route 1: Cusco - Ollantaytambo - Inti Punku.

You will start with the first part of the hike to the Puerta del Sol you will have to get up very early 5.30 am and you will go to the pavitos street where you will board a minivan to Ollantaytambo, the trip will last 2 hours, when you arrive to the town of Ollantaytambo you will start with the second section with a walk of 9 kilometers to reach the Puerta del Sol, on the way you can appreciate the beautiful scenery of the Sacred Valley, Also as you ascend you will be able to appreciate the mountains and snow-capped mountains that surround Inti Punku, when you arrive you will take a break and from the top you will have spectacular views. The estimated time of the trekking is 5 hours so it is recommended that you are in good physical condition. Before sunset you will return by the same way you came.

Route 2: Cusco - Ollantaytambo - Kachi Qhata - Inti Punku

Taking as a reference the first part of the first route, we will start with the walk in the town of Ollantaytambo, here you will take the service of a cab or private transport to the community of Kachi Qhata (salt slope), from this place you will start walking to Inti Punku, the route is uphill and is directly connected to the quarry of Kachi Qhata, the ascent is 6 kilometers and takes about 3 hours to reach the Puerta del Sol. At the end of your visit you will return the same way and if you want to camp you will have to do it in the surroundings because it is recommended to preserve the building.

• Cusco - Ollantaytambo - Cachicata - Inti Punku- Cusco.
• Pick up from the hotel between 5:00 to 5:30 a.m.
• Transportation to the district of Ollantaytambo (2 hours trip approximately).

• Small, comfortable backpack.
• Use trekking shoes, which protect you since the trail is not uniform.
• Wear warm clothes (jacket, gloves, cap or chullo, thick socks, warm pants), with the constant changes in temperature, do not get warm because it affects much more the altitude sickness.
• Apply sunscreen at least every 2 hours.
• Use trekking poles which will be of great help.
• Sleep well the day before, as the tour starts very early.
• Hydrate yourself, take small sips of water on the way, water contains oxygen that will help you on the ascent.
• Bring snacks, either nuts or energy bars that will help give you strength along the way.

If you cancel with more than 48 hours notice we will refund 75% of the total cost. If you cancel with less time, arrive late or no-show, no refund will be offered.

This activity takes the appropriate protective measures to ensure your safety. In addition, our excursions are conducted outdoors and in small groups to reduce the risk of contagion. Remember to follow the staff's instructions during the tour.
